Thinking Day

Was on MC today and spent like the entire day in bed, watching movies.

Came across this movie The Invention of Lying and the description already sets me thinking.
"How would it be like to be in a NO-LIES world?" I tried to imagine.
Tough one I thought.

In a world that you can't, or rather don't know how to lie, is just so impossible.
Everything's going to be so crude, so so so... not right?!

"No, I'm not sick. I just don't feel like working today." I wished I could say that too!

Sometimes, you just wished to speak your mind but god, we're just too kind.
How can you tell your friend that he/she really looked awful in that hair or, how much you loathed in doing this or that? You know what I mean...

The movie shows how this loser started lying and gets what he wants, but...
When everything starts to get out of hand...

There are times when a little white lies could just do the trick but to think again, is this right?
No matter what colour it is, a lie is a lie. Hmph!

Then its All About Steve.
I really liked this movie alot.

"Why do you want to be normal?"
"Don't change, for anyone."

And this is so like my favourite song from Joey Mcintyre - Stay The Same.
We're all trying too hard, aren't we?

Lastly, Weather Girl.

When fame, wealth all come together like a package, would you still choose to be who you really are, and be with who you really love? Its always easier said than done.

I wonder if someone rich comes by, what would I do?

Unless I'm stupid, I would of course stick to my dar dar la!
Who's going to do housechores, who's going to wash the dishes and and and....
Who could love me the way dar dar do?! Right, my baby? LOL!
Merry X'mas and where's my present?

Boxing Day

Boxing day but no presents to open?! Sob.

Wanted so much to have dinner at Fish & Co and followed by watching Avatar....
At all branches of Fish & Co, I just couldn't find one cinema outlet where I can still get tickets without having to take the first 3 rows! Great huh?!

Gave up and went North Point to have Manhatten Fish Market instead.

Dar trying to connect to wireless. That busy man.

Creme of Mushroom. Shakes head...

Their All Time Favourite Fish & Chips.

Pan Fried Red Snapper with Curry.

Really DELICIOUS Calamari!

Walked over to the theater after eating and... God, I thought I was in India!
If I know earlier that GV Yishun actually shows Tamil shows, I would have skipped that place liked how I rejected Jurong Point in the first place!

The show was really nice though I didnt like the length of the show.
Some scenes were just a little bit too draggy.
But overall, its still one of the BEST of the year! Must watch must watch~!

We finished dinner. No sign of SQ, still.
And our entertainment, Dolce.

Isnt she lovely?

She kept barking when we first stepped into the house.
I've to bribe her by feeding her snacks.

Dar did nothing and Dolce just kept playing with him!
She's a bitch, she's a bitch, she's a bitch!!!!

Left at 9.15 to go Joe's place. SQ still on the way.
Babe, you were late for 3 hours!

I Bet..

If you were in town on X'mas eve.....
I BET YOU WON'T MISS S/HE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its a S/HE!

We first saw her at PS, outside Carle's Junior.
She was just standing a short distance from us, mumbling to herself.

When anyone walks past her, she would points at them and says in obviously-a-non-chinese chinese:" 不要看我, 不要笑, ugly ugly..." After awhile, she just walked away.

Speaking of Carle's, I just couldnt not mention these 3 indian guys I saw.
After ordering their foods, they went to the vending machines to get their drinks.
Instead of just taking the drinks, they took small sips to TEST on the drinks!!!!
I can so understand that they might have not tried soft drinks like Coke, grape, lemon tea or even sprite! Thats why they didnt even bother about the queue behind them!
Farking retarded.
After eating, we went to jalan jalan and then, we saw HER again!
Thia time round, she showed a very SEDUCTIVE look at dar and in a very whining voice, she said....

"我要..... 我要....."

God, I swore I was laughing like hell and I can see all eyes on dar dar!
LOL!!!!

Dar dar fighting zzz at MOS while waiting to countdown.

We tried our very best but we ended up counting down in the car, in the carpark at my place.
Merry Xmas.

Move la.

For the first time, I took the shuttle bus from office to Orchard MRT.

While on the obviously packed bus, my colleague said that I defintely gotta sit down or the driver will scold. Looking around, obviously all the seats were taken! Super embarrassing!

Then my colleague said, "ask someone to share with you la."

I turned around and the first person I saw was this man giving me this "Not me" look. Fine.

Just at that moment, I thought might as well walk to the bus stop to take bus and someone touched me on my back hinting me to sit with her. I was really thankful, at least for THAT moment.

I know my butt not small, neither was that aunty's.
Problem was that she already occupied like 99% of the seat and she didn't even moved an inch!!!
I don't know how I sat. The only thing was that my legs were FARKING painful when I reached Orchard MRT, simply because I supported myself by pushing my knees onto the seat on the other side!!!
Seriously, I really appreciated her thought of sharing but don't just ask la, move your BIG butt ma!

Mr Big

Dar dar has got a new nickname!

Mr BIG.

The Annual Thing.

Every year towards the end, we'll have our family chalet at Pasir Ris.
This year as well.
The chalet thingy, is all about THE BBQ.

Looks more like some cooking show.

We always have to wait till my uncle knock off from his work and come over to cook all his specialities - Fish, prawns... all marinated by his secret recipes.

Every year, as usual, I'll have to bug someone to peel the prawns..

It has to be mama.

Other than that, it has to be arcade. This time round, a more dramatic one.
Dar signed up for the Nebo membership last year and was given $10 for $10 vouchers for our tapz card.

Being a typical Singaporean, I told my aunt to invest in our card so that we can use the vouchers. Gathered all my cousins, we headed over to the arcade.

Poor Nicholas was so sick that Dar had to carry him back to rest before joining us.

Upon reaching, I realised Dar didnt bring his card!
To think I reminded him at least a thousand times before we left his place...

Anyway, thinking that Ning also has the Nebo card, I asked her to go get her Tapz card made so that we can still use the vouchers. Guess what? The arcade guy said that the machine was down.

Obviously, we will not accept the kind of services we gotten so, we started arguing or rather, scolding.
Ning:"Can't you see we have so many children here waiting to play? We came all the way here, you know? You guys only have 3 outlets and the one at Lot one said the same thing!"
Me:" I understand that your machine is down... MY PROBLEM?!"
Not more than 10minutes, we got our Tapz card.

I had to say it was an interesting night. We really played liked never before, all the way till almost 11pm when we saw Mei mei yawning away... LOL!

Every year during Chalet, our main concern will always be if we have a place to sleep?
I can still remember clearly Dar and I ended up having Big Breakfast at 4am last year!
Thanks god we found a nice spot this time round.

The next morning, same routine, got awakened by the kids playing Wii.
Followed by the walk walk, slightly not-so-noisy this time.

As far as I could remember, Ting and Roy went home the first night.
Ning and JX, MIA-ed. The boys went bowling with my uncle & aunt.
Leaving Min, Jia, dar and me. Of course we still had fun!

First stop: grab some snacks from Fish & Co.

I really love their Calamari!!!

Fish nuggets not bad too!

Now its all about the BIG and small blanket.

Seems like Jia really likes Dar alot!

We were good self entertainers too!

Originally, wanted to go Nebo Cafe to play some boardgames and "NOW WHAT?!", they were having some kinds of events there! WTF?! Ended back in arcade.

Indeed a blessing in disguise, we randomly chose a game to play.
Somehow, the machine did not give us the exact number of tickets indicated on the screen, we called for technical assistance. Okay, we're typical Singaporean - Kiasu.

It turns out that the particular machine has been down for sometime and noone actually bothered to get help. In return, we got all the STUCKED tickets in there!!!

A total of 600++ tickets.

We got 10bottles of Yakults.

18 packets of Twisties!
After that, its all about Mei mei and her LONG hair.

As arrogant as before.

Min and Jia helping her with her colourings...

Her butterflies drawing.

Was pretty tired after all the li li and la la but overall, still had fun though.
Just wished that we could go somewhere else next year.

Random...

SQ called while I was at work and randomly told me a joke she got from her friend.
Below was the conversation that her friend had with her Grandma relating to the Taiwanese Drama, 爱.

Friend: 几点做爱
Grandma: 7点做爱

I thought this was really funny that I shared with Eileen and then, she told me another one that happened in her house;

Eileen: 7点了, 做爱了!
Her Mum: 快点开啦!

So misleading...

Singapore's City Square Mall

Went to City Square Mall.

Still very irritated by the stupid cab driver who purposely go rounds before bringing us to our destination! Argh!

Anyway, City Square Mall really quite ulu. Alot of nei neis...
3 levels Metro, many many many restaurants, very big NTUC and did I see 2 arcades? Think I did. Free shutter bus too!

After that, took the shutter bus to Toa Payoh Central. Nothing much.
Wonder why my mama likes to go there...
